Maria Thurin

Aftersales Manager

Maria Thurin

Maria Thurin took up the position as Aftersales Manager at Huddig on June 1st. With 30 years of experience from Scania, she is now looking forward to taking on new challenges at Huddig.

She sees relationship building as central to aftermarket work and believes it is important to constantly strive to understand the customer's business in order to provide the best possible service.

- The after-sales solution lasts the whole life of the product and all that time we work with people to find the best solution in each situation. My work is very much about collaboration and humility. The better I understand the customer's situation, the better products and services I and my team can offer.

The diversity of the aftermarket offer is what drives Maria and she believes there is always more to learn and more products and services to develop.

- After-sales work is complex and includes service contracts, spare parts, service provider training and workshop services, such as equipment, troubleshooting tools and repair methods, to name a few, which means that the work is always varied and challenging. The aim is to constantly evolve to meet customer needs.

Maria already had her sights set on Huddig in 2019. When the position of Aftersales Manager opened up in early 2020, she quickly made contact.

- I have been interested in Huddig for a long time, both in the company and in the product. I see the fact that Huddig is a smaller company as a great advantage. Here there is a flexibility in processes and shorter decision paths, which means that you can quickly solve problems and test new ways of working. Ultimately, this benefits the customers, which I see as a big plus.

Working with a high quality product was another reason why Huddig was chosen.

- We always said that Scania is King of the road and for me Huddig is King of the offroad. I can't think of a more exciting product to work with and where customers are really prepared to invest in their machine.

Maria is now looking forward to using her experience to develop the aftermarket offering at Huddig and getting to know both colleagues and customers.

- It will be exciting to get to know the machine customers, in a way HUDDIG are like Scania customers, they love their machine and will have a long relationship with their HUDDIG as well as with us. I also look forward to getting to know all the service provider and dealer. With my background, I have a lot of thoughts and experiences that need to be reviewed and developed to the new context, which will be incredibly exciting. You never become fully educated," concludes Maria.
