Huddig presents its second sustainability report covering the financial year 2024
On September 26, 2023, Tobias Nilsson, who owns and operates TN Grävtjänst, switched to Huddig's latest model. The step was then taken from HUDDIG 1260D CITY to HUDDIG 1370 CITY, and the improvements are great according to him.
He is particularly impressed with the updated unit.
"The digging geometry is magical in HUDDIG 1370. It is an entirely different experience with the new excavator unit, which is longer and stronger. I benefit enormously from this as I mainly work with water and sewage jobs and a lot of backfilling. The increased reach is excellent for filling water pipes, among other things - I perform more work in less time because I can reach further."
Tobias mainly performs service work where the strength and flexibility of his machine allow him to perform many different types of work and keep a high workload and occupancy.
"The people I work with say I do 'everything,' and that's probably true. With a HUDDIG, I am unbeatable as a service machine, and there are often many different workplaces and tasks during my days. Among other things, I do backfilling, excavation, and a lot of water and sewage jobs."
Tobias' new HUDDIG is fully equipped, including radio control, GPS L5 Navigation, FlexLever, a tilt coupler, and more. The various equipment enable even more uses for the machine.
"FlexLever is incredibly convenient. You can easily change the direction of the tiltrotator without leaving the cab and messing with hydraulic hoses. It is a must if you have several drivers on the same machine. Another must is GPS. Because I have that, plus the front grading bucket with a tilt coupler (which allows me to tilt the front bucket left and right), I also perform adjustments for asphalt grading."
Time and fuel savings are additional benefits he has experienced with the model upgrade.
"I have expanded my working area when stationary. The increased power combined with the extra length of the excavator unit means that I move less often, which naturally results in fuel savings. The pipes I fill are six meters long, and I usually stand on a slope when I work, which means I lose 1.5 meters. Now I can reach all the way without moving and do more work in less time."
Tobias also cites increased working pressure and cabin comfort as benefits of the model upgrade and looks forward to continuing to work with his new machine.
"The HUDDIG 1370 can handle considerably more than my HUDDIG 1260D. The loader is stronger, given the increased pressure, now 246 bar, against 233. The working environment is more comfortable, the visibility is better, and the AC is new. The digital speedometer is really good too, a small but still big change if you ask me. With HUDDIG 1370, I become more efficient, which feels great. I look forward to working on and taking on more assignments in the new machine," Tobias concludes.
